From Class 9 to 12 Schools are operated by District Education Office, School Education Department. In the district, total Government High School and Higher Secondary School are 188, grant received -07, Kendriya Vidyalayas-3 and non-Government high schools and HSCs. -63. Total 261 schools are operated. From the existing 7 development blocks in the district, All schools are operated by DEO, except Khalwa Dev. Block, which is operated by Tribal Development Department. The administrative and financial control is held at development Block level by Block Education Officer. In Khandwa district, approximately 5,497 officers / employees are employed under the School Education Department.
Total Nomination of students in government schools from class 9 to 12 is approximately 48939. The distribution of the 30 types of scholarships of 11 departments is carried out by School Education Department. Cycle distribution scheme is also operated. Textbooks are distributed free of cost by GoMP. These all schemes are operated through Samagra Portal of GoMP, developed by NIC.
High School examination result of year 2018-2019 was 64.29% and Higher Secondary category results was 82.62%. National Secondary Education Mission is aimed for the strengthening of infrastructure in all Government High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools in the district.
