Statistics Of District Khandwa

It is divided in 7 development blocks namely Khandwa,Chhegaon Makhan,Pandhana, Harsud, Khalwa, Baldi, Punasa. It is consisting of 3 tehsils namely Khandwa, Harsud, Pandhana.District has lack of irrigation-means and results in monsoon dependent agricultural production.The major crops of the district are : soyabean, cotton, jowar, ground nut, banana,wheat,sugarcane, chilly etc. Major occupation is agriculture.
